Rebecca Forwood – Our Founder / Owner

Rebecca Forwood, born in Melbourne to an Australian mother and a Hong Kong Chinese father, is the founder and sole owner of The Fishwives. Originally established in Hong Kong in 1990 by her mother and aunt to import New Zealand King Salmon, Rebecca took over the business in 1998 and brought it to Singapore in 2000. Driven by her passion for healthy, additive-free food, she filled a gap in the market for premium fresh fish and meat from Australia and New Zealand. Over the years, Rebecca has grown The Fishwives from a small home-based venture into a thriving online and retail food emporium, supported by a dedicated team and island-wide delivery service.

Kimberly has been with The Fishwives since its very beginning, making her an invaluable part of our journey. As the glue that holds everything together, she oversees every aspect of running the business with unmatched dedication and expertise. From managing day-to-day operations to ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes, Kimberly's leadership and commitment are the foundation of our success. Salinah is the heart and soul of The Fishwives, second only to Kim as our longest-serving team member. Loved by customers and colleagues alike, she is a fountain of knowledge when it comes to our products and recipe ideas. Always friendly and approachable, Salinah goes the extra mile to ensure every customer finds exactly what they need and leaves inspired. Meet Normeh, Our Retail Co-Manager

Normeh has been a member of The Fishwives team for many years. After taking time out to focus on her family, she has returned to co-manage our new Bukit Timah store. With her warm smile and friendly approach, Normeh greets and serves our customers, ensuring they feel welcome and well cared for. Her knowledge of our products and dedication to service make her an invaluable part of the retail team, creating a shopping experience that customers love.
