Vignobles des 3 Châteaux Les Sardines Rosé 2018 - South of France
The perfect Summer Rose
This Rosé is wonderful when served as an aperitif, or with seafood, salad or a soft cheese platter. It has expressive notes of raspberry, citrus, melon and white peaches, and a lively and light mouthfeel.
The small highly regarded cooperative 'Vignobles des 3 Chateaux' was founded in 1950 and is located near the village of St. Mathieu de Tréviers, at the river Pic Saint Loup, north of Montpellier. It is regularly awarded in the top national and international competitions (Guide Hachette, Concours Général Agricole, Concours des Grands Vins du Languedoc Roussillon, Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, Concours des Grands Vins de France de Mâcon, Berliner Wein Trophy, Vinalies, Féminalise, Mondial du Rosé, Top 100 Sud de France, International Wine Challenge…) The wineries are located in an area that with an altitude 150 meters above sea level, on a clay and limestone terroir. The vines are under the influence of both mediterranean and continental climates.
Pays d’Oc is the IGP title for red, white and rosé wines that are made in a large area on the southern coast of France. The catchment area for the IGP corresponds roughly to the Languedoc-Roussillon wine region – one of the largest winegrowing areas in France. The Pays d’Oc IGP is arguably the most important in France, producing the majority of the country’s IGP wines.
Cinsaut – Grenache blends are made up of two important grape varieties from southern France, and are vinified as either red or rosé wines. The two varieties have much in common; both Grenache and Cinsaut are lighter-bodied than other Rhone varieties, have a strong resistance to droughts, and perform best when overcropping is avoided.
