Peter Forrestal ~ "Fraser Gallop Estate has made a bigger impact on the Margaret River wine scene than any other winery established since the region's early days."

Ray Jordan ~ "There is no doubt that Fraser Gallop Estate is now right up there with some of the pioneering producers in the Margaret River region for the quality of the wines."

James Halliday, 27 Jul 2015 ~ "An estate-grown and bottled cabernet. It has considerable attitude, with crisply detailed and framed flavours that progressively gain velocity as they move across the palate towards the emphatic, balanced, finish....7% petit verdot and 4% each of merlot and malbec"

Ray Jordan ~ “Seductive perfumed nose with exotic minty red currant fruit showing a little African violet. Predominantly cabernet but smaller amounts of merlot, malbec and petit verdot have provided an important contribution. Supremely balanced with grainy and slightly powdery graphite-like tannins. The oak sits snugly in the mix. Excellent wine for further ageing.”

The Winemaker ~ "....medium bodied in style ....Trademark Margaret River scents. Structure and finesse are it’s main features with choc-cherry flavours marrying in with the chocolate and spice oak. Lovely chalky tannin closes out the wine finishing clean and long. A wine that will cellar for up to 15 years on release."

John Szabo, MS (2009 vintage review) ~ "The palate is balanced, poised, succulent and dense without excess weight; refined and polished, elegant and balanced. Long finish. A fine example all around. Classy, arch-Bordeaux-like."

Celebrated Fraser Gallop are one of Margaret River's premium wine producers.  They have won many awards, including the prestigious Decanter World Wine Awards International Trophy for Best Bordeaux blend and nine gold medals for their Cabernet Sauvignon since 2007.  The next time you find yourself in Margaret River, their hauntingly beautiful vineyard – and cellar door – is well worth a visit.  It was recently described by Helen Young in The Australian newspaper as “spectacular in autumn but impressive in any season”.

The inspiration for the Parterre Cabernet Sauvignon is taken from some of the great wines of Bordeaux. The aim is to use a number of techniques to emphasise complexity in a single vineyard wine and to make a wine that allows the fruit to shine; complemented by premium oak, while maintaining great structure and finesse. This is done by the addition of small amounts of Petit Verdot, Merlot and Malbec and the use of a number of different techniques during fermentation of the Cabernet Sauvignon.

Margaret River is a highly respected wine region in the south-western corner of Western Australia. Famous for having a more 'European' wine style than its counterparts across the country, Margaret River has made its name through its unusually refined Cabernet Sauvignon (often blended with Merlot), intensely citrusy Chardonnay, and refreshingly grassy 'SSB' blends of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon.

Margaret River winemakers are particularly proud of the region's temperate, coastal location – which is very similar to that of Bordeaux
