NZ Yellowbelly Flounder Whole by weight - WILD CAUGHT
Yellow Belly Flounder are a flatfish found in shallow waters, usually at depths of up to 50 metres. In New Zealand they are commonly found in harbours, estuaries and muddy, sandy bays in the North Island.
Yellowbelly Flounder is a delicate and moist, white flesh fish with a low oil content. Like most Flounder species, Yellowbelly are a great fish cooked whole; and is one of the simplest fish to cook.
Either baked whole or dusted in flour and sealed in a pan with butter and finished in the oven if required. When cooked, flesh is delicious and falls of the bone.
