Located in Pulau Samakau, one of the best fish rearing areas close to Singapore with strong currents bringing a constant supply of pristine, oxygen-rich sea water, Barramundi ASIA is able to produce Kulhbarra, a supreme quality fish. The fish is grown from Australian Barramundi from juveniles up to 3.5kg and are monitored and controlled at every aspect of fish production including fish health, welfare, and nutrition. Barramundi ASIA, established in 2007, is the first company in Singapore growing barramundi in large cages in sea water. Their modern, sustainable and environmentally conscious farming practices provide delicious fresh barramundi. Barramundi ASIA is the first EU certified fish farm in South East Asia.
To ensure the ongoing quality of their farm waters, they are independently sampled and tested every 10 minutes by the Danish Hydrological Institute, a trusted advisor to the Government of Singapore.
In addition to its clean waters, you can rest assured that these fish are reared with no growth enhancers.
Sea water barramundi (Lates calcarifer) is known for its white, firm flesh and delicious taste. Low in fat, barramundi can be prepared and enjoyed in many ways and is a natural choice for health-conscious lovers of fresh sea fish.
