A blend of hand harvested and machine harvested fruit, top loaded to press, no crushing. Coarse settled, no enzyme, 50% racked to indigenous ferment in puncheon, the balance fermented in tank with Burgundy isolate yeast strain. Post sugar dryness, both barrels and tank were lees stirred to build mouthfeel and richness. The tank volume saw full malolactic fermentation. Matured on lees with no SO2 for approx. 10 months, the wine was then blended and SO2 added.

White florals, grapefruit, nectarine and fresh apple. A slight hint of nut and lemon curd creaminess from secondary winemaking elements complex with smoke and spice oak notes

95 points (5 Stars) – Sam Kim, Wine Orbit  Youthful and beautifully poised, the wine shows white flesh nectarine, grapefruit, and hazelnut characters on the nose with nuances of nougat and oatmeal. It is brilliantly focused and beautifully weighted on the palate with fine texture and lovely flow, offering pristine fruit flavours together with elegant oak infusion, finishing persistent and linear. At its best: 2020 to 2026.
95 points (5 Stars) – Leo Daly, Wine Matrix  This ‘once in a while’ Chardonnay in that ‘once in a while’ we discover one that ‘once in a while’ puts the ‘c’ into complete. The nose has grapefruit abundant complimented with granny smith apple and spice. The palate delivers nectarines and white peach, while the hands on winemaking detail, delivers an overall creaminess as a consequence of the part malolactic fermentation. As our Burgundian cousins would say ‘Magnifique’!
